FAQ

What happens during the examination?

During the examination, the Osteopathic Manual Practitioner conducts a physical assessment of the patient to evaluate the condition of their joints, ligaments, and tissues. This assessment involves using palpation, a technique that involves touching and feeling the body, and typically lasts around 15 minutes.

Following the examination, the practitioner may perform gentle manipulations and hands-on techniques to address any issues identified. While these techniques are gentle, it is possible for the patient to experience some soreness or pain for the initial 24 to 48 hours after the session due to the physical nature of the treatment.

The frequency and duration of therapy sessions can vary depending on the patient's progress and response to treatment. Additionally, the Osteopathic Manual Practitioner may recommend specific home exercise programs and suggest lifestyle adjustments to support the overall treatment plan.

What should I wear for Osteopathic treatment sessions?

Soft clothes such as shorts, leggings, soft slacks or trousers or a track suit are the best. A loose fitting skirt and blouse are also suitable. Jeans and cords have very hard seams, so you will likely need to remove them

How often and how long should I see a Manual Osteopathic Practitioner?

It depends on the severity of the injury and your overall health. Some conditions respond quickly and others may take more time. You can discuss an appropriate course of treatment for your needs with your Practitioner.

I was suffering unbearable jaw pain and was not able to open my mouth fully; it was impacting my day to day life and mental health. I had pain when I ate, when I yawned, and at times even when I spoke. I saw Nora for my first 45 minute session and in that first session she was able to relieve some of the discomfort and created more movement in my jaw. I saw her 2 more times after that (3x once per week so far) and I can honestly say my pain has reduced by 90%! I have very little discomfort now and I have full range of motion back in my jaw. I will continue to see her every few weeks and I know that she will help me with any pain or problem I have with my jaw, neck, shoulders, or head. Nora has magic hands and is a true healer. I am so grateful to have found her.

Turning 60 this year reminded me of how lucky I am to have found Nora and her amazing Cranial Osteopathy techniques.
I never in my life have had a better facial massage as I have had with Nora. I’m not exaggerating either. Nora has sculpted my cheekbones, my jawline and has drained my face of excess fluids. I have never experienced something so healing as I have with this procedure. It is truly amazing. Nora’s Cranial Osteopathy is far superior to any type of massage or facial I have ever experienced in the past. It is something very different and unique I recommend this to anyone and especially to those over 50.
Thank you Nora!!
